Zanzibar’s name came from a Persian word Zengibar, “the coast of black people.” The capital of this heavenly island which located 30 kilometers east of Tanzania is Stone Town. The city, which is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage, has come until today almost untouched.
In Stone Town which has labyrinth- like narrow streets adorned with peeled away coloured stone houses, influence of Arab culture is intense. What is indispensable for stone houses that gave the town its name is carved wooden doors. The doors that blended with world’s famous Indian, Arab and African culture and differ according to the ethnic origin of the residents, make you feel like in a beautiful canvas.
One of the most enjoyable activities in Zanzibar today is to visit the spice gardens. You get to know hundreds of kinds of spice tree during a few hours of sightseeing so much so that your nose cannot smell and your tongue cannot taste the difference anymore. You witness the singing villagers climb to banana trees that stretch out into the sky faster than a monkey, you learn art from the villagers who make bracelets, necklaces, crowns for you from various leafs.
You won’t miss white sandy beaches of Zanzibar, especially in the east coast, where many people do kite surf, while others enjoy sunbathing.

Additionally, a refreshing swim in the ocean where you jump from the jetsea, is always an option for relaxation and recreation. Welcome to the eco-village and check-in. After your rest, a guided tour will take place of the site. Later on, we’ll visit the neighbouring Kizimkazi Village.
On your second day, you will visit the Spice Garden to explore Zanzibar’s rich spice history and unique flora. Afterwards, we’ll head to Stone Town for a guided tour and special iftar, a cherished tradition where the streets are beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere
On your third day, we will come together to prepare food packages for local families in need. From selecting and purchasing supplies to personally distributing the packages, you’ll be involved in each step of this meaningful process. It’s an opportunity to connect with the community, lend a helping hand, and make a real impact during this special time of Ramadan.
During your stay in Zanzibar, you will have the enriching opportunity to meet with orphan children, who possess a resilient spirit that shines brightly despite life's challenges. Ensure to bring games with you to foster connections through shared activities and playtime, fostering meaningful interactions that leave a positive impact on both sides.
On your fifth day, you’ll first participate in a workshops with mothers in need. Later, we will come together to give Zakat to those in need. You will actively participate in distributing Zakat, ensuring that it reaches the individuals and families who need it most. This day offers a meaningful opportunity to fulfill this important pillar of Islam.
On the East Coast, we will explore Mitende, renowned for its stunning beach nestled against dramatic cliffs. Afterwards, we will proceed to Paje, where you can peruse traditional local shops, swim in the crystal-clear waters, beachside outlets while admiring kite surfers and local tribal dancers. Don't miss the opportunity to browse ornaments offered by Masai beach vendors!
We will participate in collaborative training classes and workshops with local artisans, specialising in soap making. Our journey will also take us to Kanga Village, facilitating cultural exchange. Following this, we will have the chance to swim with turtles, adding a unique and memorable experience to your time in Zanzibar.

Each evening around 6:30 pm, we’ll join the local community in Kanga Village to break our fast together. Sharing Iftar with the villagers offers a unique chance to experience the spirit of Ramadan through valuble connections, unity and gratitude.
